Colorado Steel Works is looked for a skilled welder. Certified would be best, but if you are a good welder and are looking to get into this field, we can help you get certified. Colorado Steel Works does structural and architectural steel projects in Grand Junction and Aspen market places. Prospective candidates would need to be able to measure, cut, grind and weld steel. We utilize Mig, Stick, and Tig welding. This is a thinking job, we are not looking for people who need micro management to be successful. You must be able to utilize your time to finish projects under the time we have budgeted. There are many basic structural "rules" that must be adhered to. You may or may not understand those rules, we will teach you. But, it is important to understand that you will need to learn skills to be successful, unless you already posses them.
There will be a welding test if you come out for an interview, so please be prepared to weld, with your own welding hood and any other tools you may desire to perform a good weld. We will provide the welder and steel.
