We are selling our Sprinter Campervan. At the beginning of the year we decided to keep it and do some upgrades like a new floor, hot water, a larger fridge and more battery power. We were going to drive the wheels of this thing. Then recently we decided to explore more off-road terrain and went with a 144" 4x4. We love this van and it's ready to explore the country tomorrow! Here is a little bit about it.
We bought this van in 2016 from a friend with 180,000 miles (2nd owners) as a passenger van and built the camper conversion in 2018. It currently has 311,000 miles on it. But wait... there's more! We had a brand new Mercedes-Benz transmission installed at 290,000 miles and new belts and pulleys and engine block heater 5k miles ago. This van has the 3.0 liter V6 turbo diesel motor NON DEF, which is highly desirable. The motor has been very well taken care of and always performed routine maintenance. New fuel filters every other oil change and I use a fuel additive every fill up. These motors have been known to last over 500k miles and this motor has been super solid. I would drive this van across the country tomorrow with no hesitation.
Exterior: There are a few small digs and scratches from normal use but no big dents. Some hail damage on the driver's upper front and some paint chips on the front grill/hood area. But it's all superficial. No rust with undercarriage coating. All terrain tires are 80%, roof rack with removable ladder. 420watt solar panels, Vantastic fan. Outdoor shower sprayer. Just put a new windshield on it with upgraded windshield wiper sprayers and ultra high beam headlights. Driver and passenger window vents and bug screen for sliding window included.
Interior: I built this van around a large (almost king size) bed and rear storage garage for bikes/tools, garage stuff. Lots of storage. New floor, new sink faucet, 8.5 gallons of fresh water, 2.5 gallon electric hot water heater, 10 gallon grey holding tank (under the chassis). Diesel heater plumbed into the main tank. Sliding Porta-Poti, large (New) fridge, slide-out dining table, WiBoost cell antenna, I put 2 brand new house batteries in totaling 4 batteries at 565amp hours with 420watts of solar above. This battery power is enough to run everything. Diesel heat, hot water, fridge, induction cooktop, portable A/C (included) other appliances, boondock for days.
This is a solid package and ready to adventure for the 2nd half of its life.
Included with Van, folding table, propane cooking stove, portable A/C unit, bug screen for sliding door, driver and passenger window screens, window covers, battery powered pressurized shower, tire chains, spare parts for diesel heater, and Vantastic fan, spare headlight bulbs, WiBoost, extra flooring, some fuel additive to get you started.
