Wowsers! This short model horn plays great and has a huge hand grip area. 98% lacquer showing some scratches and light signs of wear, lead-pipe has a dent by the water key, but is not accessible without removing the lead-pipe. Slides are moving nicely, 3rd slide feels great, valves are smooth with excellent compression. Oversized original case is solid showing light wear and the horn comes with the original Conn 4 mouthpiece.
Most sellers here and elsewhere are selling used and most likely dirty instruments that were stored wet and uncleaned. A little valve oil and slide grease does not make them playable or ready, playing an uncleaned instrument is truly gross. All of my horns are completely reconditioned and detailed, this is $150 service which most used horns will need. A basic clean will not remove mineral deposits, all my horns get acid baths, honed valve chambers which are finished with hand-lapping (A $50 service on it's own) and tested. All horns have a 1 year warranty and free repairs for a year as well.
