Customized pick guard cover adorned with koi fish and dragons. The Asian mythology concerning koi fish is a testament to the strength and determination of the koi; known for swimming up waterfalls.
There once was a koi whose strength was unequaled. He swam up the waterfall long past the other koi. The demons tried to discourage and mock the koi by purposely stretching the height of the falls in an attempt to make it quit. But the koi showed tremendous courage and would not quit. Finally it swam to the very top of the roaring falls, and leapt up over into the calm pool of water just before the waterfall. The Gods decided to reward the koi for its’ incredible strength and courage and called its’ journey over the lip of the waterfall by calling that The Dragon’s Gate, and they rewarded it, by transforming it into a dragon, so it might swim forever in the heavens.
That is the story represented by the decals on the pick guard, showing koi swimming up waterfalls, and then dragons flying through the sky. There is also a decal of a blue koi on the rear tremolo cover of the guitar.
This Stratocaster has a fretboard that is in great condition, with great life to the original frets; USA Fender pickups, and a steel bridge block for the clear, ringing tones that Stratocaster’s are so famous for. The action is low and fast, and this guitar is an absolute dream to play and hear. (I own 20 Strats, so I’m trying to sell some prior to moving out of the Country.)
If you prefer a pick guard without these decals, make me aware of that, and I will re-mount the electronics onto a new Fender pickups guard in your choice of color, for you. Pickup height will be adjusted to be exactly the same height as it is now, for balanced sound and volume.
