African "log" drum for sale. This is a KRIN, a single piece of wood with 3 different length slits cut into it. The log is then hollowed out through the slits. Played with sticks, it produces 3 + different tones depending on the skill of the player. It is very melodic. I have seen these used in both African and Caribbean music. Traditionally played while sitting on the ground or standing with a rope around the knobs on both ends of the Krin, this one comes with a custom-made stand so that the player can sit in a chair. In like new condition.
