Locally bred and grown, various sizes of blue and tiger tilapia. Tigers are just a name we have for a crossbreed of blue and red tilapia. Tilapia are a type of cichlid and have a healthy, delicious, white flesh which is not as "fishy" as many other breeds of fish. Cooking size (about eight inch) are 1-1/2 to 2 pounds and are $5.00. Larger sizes for cooking go all the way up to 14 inch and larger (six pounds and up) and are $10.00 to $15.00. Smaller sizes are not available. We do not process fish (make fillets), but bring a bucket with ice water if you are going to have a fish fry. Cannot ship so you must pick up yourself.

Some sources of tilapia (such as China) have given tilapia a bad name because of inadequate farming practices. That's not us.
