I trimmed her feet, and took a little time to groom and take pictures. She's still got long winter hair, just wanted to add some recent photo's.
12 year old registered thouoghbred mare. She's a money earner of over $73,000 on the track. Won 6 races at different distances. She retired sound.
I planned to continue running her.
However, life got in the way of that plan. So I'm looking to see if someone else might be interested in her
Before, I have her breed myself and keep her.
Either start her in a different event. She rode really good when she was on the track, starting her in English wouldn't be much work at all.
Or she's definitely got a pedigree behind her to make a real nice broodmare. Breed her to thouoghbred to get acolt, that will go to the track and race. Or to a Paint/Fresian and raise a fantastic sport horse prospect.
She's a really nice mare to handle and work with.
I think her record speaks for its self.
She's about 16' 1 hands tall.
With the warm weather, I'm going to start riding her. Than the price will go up.
She has just been turned out since I bought her. She's really enjoyed a life of leisure. It's been good for her to just be turned out with another horse.
Spring has come and she is shedding.
I attended a horse sale over the Easter weekend, were it seemed horse prices are holding. With the cost of horse trainers, you can't buy one with this much time on for the money.
