This American classic is built for adventure and fun. Full-size, square body Chevrolet Blazer has a unique look and feel that modern trucks just don't offer. Rugged off-road capability that can take you anywhere from mud pits to deep snow or rocky slopes. And back onto the highway to get home.
5.7L 350 V8 engine
700R4 transmission with OD*
NP208 4x4 transfer case (rebuilt just a few thousand miles ago at Baker's Transmission, Grand Junction CO)
Dana 44 front & GM 12 bolt rear with 4.56 gears. This truck pulls.
Manual locking front hubs
6" lift on 35's (tires ready for replacement)
Backseat
Mechanical 4x4 shift-lever (much cooler than button-activated 4x4 in all newer vehicles)
Cowl hood for unique, aggressive styling
*Transmission is needing a repair or rebuild. Drives and runs but 3rd and 4th gear will not engage (truck acts as if it's in neutral if you shift into 3rd or 4th). Appears to be the 3-4 clutch pack needs replaced. Truck operates in reverse and 1st/2nd up to 35 mph or so.
Prior to this, the truck was able to be driven at highway speeds. 700R4 transmission worked well for that. Originally an AZ truck, longest drive was from AZ to CO which it did without issue
Windshield has a crack and the interior is pretty worn. The old interior carpeting has been pulled out of the back already.
Has a few dents and dings, but overall body is straight and true along the lines.
Driver side window won't roll down ... may be the window motor wore out.
Salvage title: when I purchased the truck in AZ, it had a salvage title due to being stolen but recovered. I've owned the truck nearly 20 years and never had an issue due to that.
Odometer says 96,855 but it's rolled over once, true mileage as I know it is 196,855. I bought the truck around 150k miles and the engine was reported rebuilt at 130k.
